| Early 1988, the growing interest in
cartoon and caricature led me to take the difficult decision of freeing
myself from my path towards a career as an architect and find myself
in the open-studio program at the Kanoria Centre for Arts at Ahmedabad.
Here I picked up skills as varied as printmaking, painting and sculpture
and tried using them towards developing a strong vocabulary for cartoon
representation and soon found the need of giving a third dimension
to my drawings-almost as if I wanted to put life into them. |
